How The Massage Will Feel - Massage on healthy tissue feels good. The normal response is to slow down, breathe deeply and relax. Many are surprised that massage doesn't tickle. The saying "no pain - no gain" isn't true for massage and bodywork. Working in an area of injury or chronic pain may cause some discomfort at first but this usually lessens within the first few minutes. Be sure to always tell your therapist if you feel discomfort so he/she can adjust.

After Your Massage - Massage & bodywork can be very relaxing, affecting all the body's systems. Give yourself a moment to reorient and then get up slowly. After a session, most people feel very relaxed and many experience freedom from aches & pains that have built up over months of tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy that can last for several days.
